If it asks you to update your files and you are using QuickBooks Pro 2008 go ahead and do it.  Sometimes the data files are prepared in a prior version of QuickBooks.

If you are using a later version of QuickBooks you will also want to update in order to work on the company, but just know you will not be able to send me the file to review if you have problems as I can not open future versions of QuickBooks.
