Lab 3- why doesn't my goal seek work.
Case 3 - why do I have a negative Future Value

Sometimes when you have run the goal seek a few times, it starts to get confused. Copy your original sheet to a new sheet in your workbook and try again. Use the right click on the page tab to make the copy.
The payment should be a negative number in the formula, you can solve it by either putting a minus before your reference to the payment or at the beginning of the formula.

I wish I could explain this one, it happens on some computers and not others. You can either leave them out or improvise and try putting them in another way. I won't deduct for it. |
