I like to have fun.  I love a good latte.  I enjoy reading, cooking, traveling and spending time with family, friends and students. 

Now the serious side:

I have over 20 years of experience in accounting and finance--starting out as a staff accountant and ending up as a CFO.  I received my BSBA – Accounting at the University of Nebraska-Omaha.  I then earned my CPA while working in public accounting with Arthur Andersen.  That was the good old days before all the bad press.  It was a wonderful opportunity to gain exposure to companies in different industries.

I enjoyed the healthcare arena and went to work as a Controller of a small hospital.  I spent the next 10 years in a variety of healthcare organizations including hospitals, medical groups and eventually with a large, multi-state HMO.   While working for the HMO as AVP of Finance and Administration, I obtained my MBA in Management at Cal. State – Long Beach.

I decided about 10 years ago to start teaching.  I started at Yavapai College and now teach full-time at Glendale Community College.  I love the interaction with students both online and in the classroom.   Stop by my office anytime.

Some consider me transient in nature.  I have lived in Nebraska, California, Nevada, South Dakota, and now, Arizona. 

I am married and currently have two boys at home.  We have been both foster and adoptive parents for many years, so consider our family much larger than the children still at home.
